Authorities in Loudoun County discovered the body of Carolyn Taylor, an 81-year-old woman who had been missing for two weeks.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported that the body of Carolyn Taylor was found on the 38000 block of Hughesville Road in Purcellville on Sunday. Taylor, who was 81 years old, had been reported missing since August 23. She was last seen on the morning of August 23 near Foundry Road and Hughesville Road, an area where she was known to go for walks. Her son and caregiver was the last person to see her before she disappeared. Search efforts for Taylor involved search-and-rescue teams from adjoining counties and Maryland, utilizing drones, all-terrain vehicles, and a helicopter. Crews and search dogs combed through approximately 6,000 acres of land. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation remains active and the cause of death has not yet been released.
