Chipotle Mexican Grill Launches New Chili Lime Chips and Returns Pollo Asado with a Refreshed Recipe

Chipotle Mexican Grill announced the simultaneous launch of two limited-time menu items on August 31. The chain is bringing back Pollo Asado with a new recipe featuring freshly grilled adobo chicken seasoned with garlic, Mexican spices, and hand-cut cilantro, finished with citrus and lime. This protein will be available at all U.S. and Canada restaurants for a limited time. Simultaneously, the chain is introducing Chili Lime Chips, a new side item inspired by a viral fan food hack where guests used packaged seasoned chips to customize their meals. These chips are made with real ingredients and contain no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Chili Lime Chips will be available as a digital exclusive for Chipotle Rewards members starting August 31, before becoming available to all guests on September 4. To celebrate the return of Pollo Asado, the administration announced a $0 delivery fee on Pollo Asado orders placed through the Chipotle app and website from August 31 through September 13. Fernando Machado, Chief Brand Officer, stated that the new recipe for Pollo Asado received strong results in testing. Nevielle Panthaky, Senior Vice President of Culinary at Chipotle, noted that the new recipe provides a savory, smoky flavor that complements the tangy seasoning of the Chili Lime Chips.
