Tropical Wave 29 and the Mexican Monsoon will bring heavy rainfall and intense storms across much of Mexico.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) and the Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua) reported that Tropical Wave 29 will move across the Yucatán Peninsula and southern Mexico, interacting with low-pressure channels and high-altitude atmospheric instability. These conditions will generate strong to very strong rains across the country, particularly in the northeast, east, south, and southeast regions. In the northwest, the Mexican Monsoon will also contribute to significant precipitation, bringing showers and heavy rains to states like Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, and Sinaloa. The administration of the meteorological services predicts that these systems will be accompanied by electrical discharges and possible hail in the western and central regions. Temperatures will remain hot to very hot in northern Mexico and along the Pacific coast. While heavy rains are expected, the SMN warns of potential river level increases, landslides, and flooding in low-lying areas.
