7 Brew Wins Bid for 73 Former Salad and Go Locations in Bankruptcy Auction

The coffee chain 7 Brew won a bid for 73 former Salad and Go locations in a bankruptcy auction, beating out rival Dutch Bros. The acquisition includes sites in Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada, with 7 Brew agreeing to pay more than $143 million for the leases. Salad and Go filed for bankruptcy after a costly expansion into Texas and Oklahoma drained its cash. The auction was initiated because 7 Brew submitted a bid that forced Salad and Go to reconsider its initial agreement with Dutch Bros. Dutch Bros ultimately opted not to increase its offer, allowing 7 Brew to secure the locations. The acquisition provides 7 Brew with a significant growth opportunity in the Arizona market, where it currently has 27 locations. The 73 sites will be converted into 7 Brew stores. A court hearing on September 21 is scheduled to consider the approval of the 73 leases. Before the acquisition becomes final, the 73 locations will be remodeled to fit the 7 Brew brand image.
