Omar Garcia Harfuch reports federal forces seized nearly 17 tons of methamphetamine and dismantled three clandestine laboratories in Sinaloa.

Authorities seized nearly 17 tons of apparent methamphetamine across three sites. The largest site, a 5,700-square-meter complex near Corralejo, yielded 16,350 kilograms of methamphetamine in various production stages. This complex is identified as the second-largest methamphetamine laboratory in the country during the current administration. In Corralejo, a second 800-square-meter laboratory was dismantled, yielding 300 kilograms of finished methamphetamine and 645 liters of product in cooking. A third installation of 450 square meters in Corral Viejo was also dismantled, yielding 160 kilograms of methamphetamine and 1,750 kilograms of dual-use substances. Secretary of Security and Civil Protection Omar Garcia Harfuch stated the operation was one of the biggest blows against synthetic drug production during the current administration. He noted the results were achieved through the work of the Naval Intelligence Unit and information exchange with US agencies. The Cabinet of Security estimated the dismantling of the main complex caused an economic impact of approximately USD 347 million on criminal structures.
