Delta Air Lines and Hyatt Hotels Corporation Announce New Exclusive Loyalty Partnership
Delta Air Lines and Hyatt Hotels Corporation have announced a new, long-term strategic loyalty partnership linking the Delta SkyMiles and World of Hyatt programs. The collaboration will launch in the coming months, allowing members of both programs to simultaneously earn points and miles on qualifying flights and hotel stays. Initial benefits will focus on elite members. Delta Medallion members will earn miles for spend on qualifying Hyatt stays, while World of Hyatt elites will earn points on qualifying Delta airfare purchases within specific fare classes. The companies stated that dual earning has been one of the most requested loyalty benefits among their members. This new partnership follows the announcement that American Airlines and Hyatt are ending their yearslong relationship. Members who link their American AAdvantage and World of Hyatt accounts by November 15, 2026, will preserve access to some reciprocal benefits through the end of each program's current earning year. Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, and Mark Hoplamazian, CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, both noted that the partnership aims to provide a connected, premium travel experience from takeoff to check-out.
