House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries claimed that Republicans voted to unleash data centers on the American people in an unfettered fashion. However, House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith argued that Opportunity Zones, which were expanded by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, were designed for various uses beyond just data centers, including child daycare and manufacturers.
