Security official Omar Garcia Harfuch reported the detention of Alexis "N" as a key operator in the murder of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo.

He took over the leadership of the criminal cell after Jorge Armando "N", also known as "El Licenciado", was captured. Jorge Armando "N" is considered one of the intellectual authors of the murder of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Carlos Manzo, who was shot dead during a public event in November 2025. With this detention, 32 people have been detained in relation to the crime. The order of detention was issued as part of the investigation and intelligence work regarding the murder of Carlos Manzo. The detention was carried out by the Security and Civil Protection Secretariat (SSPC), Fiscal General of the Republic (FGR), Defense Secretary, and Navy Secretary, in coordination with the Fiscal General of the State (FGE) and Security Public Secretary (SSP) from Michoacán. Harfuch thanked the authorities of Jalisco and Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro for their collaboration. The detainee had his rights read to him and was placed at the disposition of the Public Ministry agent to determine his legal situation.
