Dyson introduces first-ever toothbrush, the CameraJet, featuring AI-powered vision and multiple cleaning modes

Dyson has launched its first-ever toothbrush, the CameraJet, which combines brushing, flossing, and mouth-washing into a single device. The product features a built-in camera that uses AI-powered vision to detect and target gaps between teeth, allowing for more precise cleaning. Jake Dyson, the company's Chief Engineer, stated that the new product combines decades of mechanical engineering with AI, vision systems, and machine learning to create products that can see, understand, and respond to their environments. Niamh Turney from Dyson also noted that the toothbrush aims to update a cleaning routine that has remained largely unchanged for decades. The CameraJet retails for $499 and is available now. It includes a mouthwash jet and a water flosser that only triggers when the camera detects gaps between teeth. The device also features a travel mode to prevent it from turning on in baggage and a companion app that displays a live video feed of the teeth. The video feed remains private to the user and is not processed beyond the smartphone stream.
