The Michoacan Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a third official request for Grecia Quiroz García to deliver the mobile phones used by her late husband, Carlos Manzo Rodríguez. The devices are required for expert examination to reconstruct the crime and determine if there were prior threats or specific data points that could be integrated into the investigation. Grecia Quiroz García has previously rejected the request twice due to a lack of trust in the local prosecutor's office. This new request comes amid a growing investigation into the links between the widow and Samuel García Rivero, a former official who allegedly leaked the mayor's private agenda to the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion. Yesenia Méndez Rodríguez, the former personal secretary of Carlos Manzo Rodríguez, has accused Grecia Quiroz García of recommending and re-hiring Garcia Rivero. While 31 people have been detained in connection with the planning and execution of the murder, the investigation remains open to clarify the motives and the specific content of the mobile devices.
