Justo Aurelio Rivera Parrazales, a businessman known as "The Lord of Ferraris," was linked to a trial for his probable involvement in crimes related to operations with illicitly obtained resources and against public health. The General Attorney of the Republic (FGR) reported that a federal judge issued a preventive prison detention order for Rivera Parrazales, who was arrested on July 17 in Mérida, Yucatán. The arrest was conducted by the Mexican Navy-Sea and the Secretariat of Security and Civil Protection (SSPC) during a search of a building in the San Ramón Norte neighborhood. During the operation, authorities secured 15 high-end vehicles, including brands like Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini, valued at approximately 145 million 263 thousand pesos. Investigations by the FGR also identified Rivera Parrazales as the executive of the Inmedicen company, a medical supply supplier. He was allegedly linked to criminal groups from La Barredora and the Northeast Cartel. The authority established a four-month period for the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) to present conclusions from a complementary investigation.
