Elon Musk's America PAC spent approximately $800,000 on various House and Senate races across the United States during the month of August. The majority of this spending, totaling over $700,000, was concentrated on competitive Senate races in states such as Texas, Maine, and Ohio. In Texas, the PAC spent approximately $247,000 to support Republican Ken Paxton. In Maine, the PAC spent approximately $170,000 to support Republican Susan Collins. Other expenditures included funding for Senate races in New Hampshire, Iowa, Alaska, and Michigan. The PAC also allocated nearly $90,000 to several House races, including contributions to Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry, Ryan Mackenzie, and Rob Bresnahan, and Rep. Tom Kean Jr. in New Jersey. The administration announced that Elon Musk plans to spend between $100 million and $120 million to support Republican candidates during the midterm cycle. House Speaker Mike Johnson met with Elon Musk in Texas last week. While Johnson did not provide specific details regarding the conversation, he noted that Musk has made his spending plans public and expressed confidence in a Republican victory in the midterms.
