Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company Schedules Maintenance and Repairs to Improve Water Supply Across Multiple Neighborhoods

The Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company (EAAB) has scheduled a series of water cuts for Thursday, August 20, 2026, to perform essential maintenance and infrastructure improvements. These works, which include the installation of hydrants and valves, as well as repairs to the main pipe and distribution networks, aim to minimize future disruptions and improve the overall water supply for residents in Bogotá and Soacha. Affected areas include Los Andes in Barrios Unidos, Andes Norte, Julio Flórez, and Santa Rosa in Suba, and Fátima in Tunjuelito. Significant portions of Kennedy and Bosa will also experience unexpected water cuts starting at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, lasting up to 24 hours. The EAAB advises residents to fill storage tanks before the cuts begin and to use water rationally, prioritizing hand washing and food preparation.
