The Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company schedules water cutoffs for various districts on September 3, 2026

The Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company (EAAB) scheduled temporary water cutoffs for several localities in Bogotá and the adjacent municipality of Soacha on Thursday, September 3, 2026. These interruptions are necessary to perform maintenance, install valves, and verify the distribution network to improve water supply and prevent damage to pipes and accessories. Specific areas affected include Barrios Germania and The Waters from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Barrios Galerías, Benjamón Herrera, and San Luis from 9:00 a.m. for 24 hours. Other 24-hour suspensions begin at 9:00 a.m. in Barrios Santa Isabel, Provivienda, and Carvajal, as well as Argelia II, Bosa, and several others in the Kennedy locality. The municipality of Soacha will experience a 24-hour cutoff starting at 10:00 a.m. in Barrios Compartir and San Nicolás. The EAAB recommended that residents fill their reserve tanks before the cuts begin and consume stored water within 24 hours to prevent spoilage. Users are encouraged to use water rationally, prioritizing personal hygiene and food preparation. For high-traffic areas such as hospitals and clinics, the EAAB will provide water via carrotanques, which can be requested through the Aqualínea 116 line.
