Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá Announces Water Cuts for September 10 and 11, 2026

The Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB) announced that several neighborhoods in Bogotá and the municipality of Soacha will experience temporary water supply cuts on Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11, 2026. These suspensions are necessary to perform maintenance, install valves and accessories, and verify systems to improve the water supply and prevent damage to the city's pipes. On Thursday, September 10, various localities will experience 24-hour water cuts. These include the neighborhoods of Andes Norte, Julio Flórez, and Santa Rosa in Suba; Bella Vista Sur, San Vicente, Santa Inés Sur, and Los Alpes in San Cristóbal and Usme; San Carlos, San Benito, Tunjuelito, and Abraham Lincoln in Tunjuelito; La Huerta, El Tuno, La Esperanza Usme, and Puerta al Llano in Usme; Rafael Escamilla and Madelena in Ciudad Bolívar and Tunjuelito; and Tintal in Kennedy. Additionally, a large area in Kennedy including Américas Occidental and Castilla will experience a 24-hour cut. On Friday, September 11, water cuts will continue in Bogotá. The EAAB recommended that users fill their reserve tanks in advance and prioritize water use for essential tasks such as hygiene and food preparation. For priority institutions like clinics and hospitals, the company will provide water via carrotanques, which can be requested through Acualínea 116.
