Marco Antonio Bonilla Mendoza presented his fifth government report as the mayor of Chihuahua, highlighting the administration's achievements in security, finance, and social policy. During the presentation at the Expo Chihuahua Convention Center, the mayor reported a sustained reduction in crime rates and noted that the capital has achieved its best perception of security in nearly a decade. He emphasized that the municipal government has allocated approximately 25% of its own revenues to security, strengthening the Shield Chihuahua Capital Platform and expanding police infrastructure. The mayor also reported that the city generates nearly 80% of the state's employment and has maintained high credit ratings from Fitch Ratings and HR Ratings. He noted that the administration has invested over 413 million pesos in education, benefiting over 421,000 students through the Mi Bolsa Escolar program. Additionally, the mayor highlighted infrastructure investments exceeding 4,500 million pesos and the creation of a new Center for Integral Attention of IMPAS to improve healthcare services. State Governor Maria Eugenia Campos Galvan accompanied the mayor during the report. She praised the capital's results and urged the mayor to apply the city's successful model to the rest of the state. She also warned the mayor of upcoming challenges and criticized the federal government's alleged ties with narcotrafic.
