Nadeem Meghji is departing from Blackstone as head of global real estate after nearly two decades with the firm.

Nadeem Meghji is leaving his role as head of global real estate at Blackstone after nearly 20 years with the company. He joined the firm in 2008 during the Great Recession and became the sole head of the real estate division just under a year ago. Meghji is departing for personal reasons to spend more time with his family. Blackstone is elevating David Levine and Giovanni Cutaia to co-lead the real estate business. David Levine currently co-heads the real estate group in the Americas, while Giovanni Cutaia serves as the president of the real estate business. Blackstone President Jonathan Gray stated that the business maintains continuity and talent despite the departure. During his tenure, Nadeem Meghji helped lead the firm's expansion into the data center sector. By early 2026, Blackstone's data center investments reached a value of $185 billion. The company reported 20 percent year-over-year growth across total revenues, fee revenues, fee-related earnings, net realization, and distributable earnings.
