The administration launches coordinated voter fraud surge initiative across nine states

The administration announced a coordinated criminal voter fraud surge initiative to investigate election integrity across nine states starting Tuesday. Homeland Security Investigations, an arm of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, will deploy an unprecedented number of agents to pursue investigative leads, conduct field interviews, and support prosecutorial reviews from early September to mid-October. The initiative follows a period of increased federal focus on voter rolls. For example, an audit identified more than 250,000 registered noncitizens in four states, though some specific matches required further vetting. The administration has also prioritized enforcement of federal laws prohibiting noncitizens from voting through an executive order signed by President Trump.
