Google also secured an option to add approximately 600 megawatts of power by June 2030, which could expand the agreement to nearly 1 gigawatt. This deal builds on a previous partnership between the two companies that began with a 3-MW project in Nevada in 2023. Tim Latimer, the CEO of Fervo Energy, stated that customers like Google require energy resources that can be deployed at scale and operate around the clock. He noted that the new agreement is part of a repeatable commercial model that deliver clean, firm power to large electricity users. Fervo Energy expects total capital expenditures to reach between $850 million and $900 million in the second half of 2026.
