Latino voters in 17 battleground districts favor Democratic House candidates over Republican options ahead of the 2026 midterms.

A new survey of 1,500 Latino registered voters across 17 battleground congressional districts shows that Democrats hold a 23-percentage-point lead over Republicans. Latino voters favor Democratic House candidates 58% to 35%. This lead is more than double the 11-point advantage Kamala Harris held over Trump in the last presidential election. In Texas, Latino voters in three competitive districts favor Democratic candidates 56% to 36%, a 20-point advantage, despite splitting evenly between Harris and Trump in the 2024 presidential race. In Florida, Democrats hold a 13-point lead among Latino voters in two competitive districts, compared to a one-point advantage for Trump in the recalled presidential votes. The survey indicates that 65% of Latino voters disapprove of the administration's handling of household expenses and 62% disapprove of the administration's immigration enforcement and deportation policies. Additionally, 64% of Latino voters gave an unfavorable rating to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The findings suggest that dissatisfaction with the administration's immigration policies does not mean broad opposition to stricter border enforcement. Kate Coleman, a TelevisaUnivision senior vice president, stated that Latino voters are making decisions based on which candidates show up for them and how they show up.
