Mexico Extradites Raúul Luis Martins to Argentina After Seven Years of Legal Delays

Mexico has officially extradited Raúul Luis Martins to Argentina, ending a seven-year legal battle to return the former intelligence agent to his home country. Martins, who was accused of heading a criminal organization dedicated to human trafficking for sexual exploitation and money laundering, was transferred from Cancún to Buenos Aires following a federal court order. During his time in Mexico, Martins was known as a prominent figure in the high-end sex business, operating several establishments and reportedly holding a collection of videos of powerful figures. His extradition was delayed by multiple lawsuits and appeals filed by his defense team in Cancún and Mexico City. The move comes as a result of a judicial exchange, as the administration announced the deportation of Fernando Farías Laguna from Mexico to Argentina. Martins now faces an oral trial in Argentina, where he is prosecuted as the head of an illicit association. His years of imprisonment in Mexico may be counted toward his final sentence.
