A one-year-and-four-month-old baby named Juan Alejandro died after being hit by a bullet during an armed attack in the Prados del Sur neighborhood of Culiacán, Sinaloa. The attack occurred on a Saturday night when armed men opened fire on people near a house. Juan Alejandro was inside a vehicle when he was struck in the head. Authorities reported that the attack resulted in three deaths. In addition to Juan Alejandro, a man named Jesúñs Manuel was killed in the same incident. A third victim was a presumed member of the aggressor group who was wounded by his own companions and died at the hospital. Ballistics experts collected 61 shells from the scene to determine the cause of the death of the aggressor. The violence in the region extended to other areas, including Mazatlán and Escuinapa. In Mazatlán, a man was killed in the San Antonio neighborhood, another man was killed at the Club Polluelos sports complex, and a man was injured during a motorcycle chase on Avenida Camarón Sábalo. In Escuinapa, a man named Luis Ángel was found dead with apparent stab wounds in a tourist villa.
