Nathan Brown Fatally Stabs Wife and Daughter with a Screwdriver Before Committing Suicide in Minnesota Daycare
Nathan Brown, 41, fatally stabbed his wife, Kristen Brown, and their 7-year-old daughter, Evie Brown, with a screwdriver inside a basement daycare in Hopkins, Minnesota. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, where Nathan Brown used the tool to strike his wife and daughter before ultimately shooting himself in an upstairs closet. The attack was witnessed by a father dropping off his children, who heard screams and initially believed Nathan Brown was performing CPR before realizing the attack was occurring. Investigators believe Nathan Brown also killed a 78-year-old relative, Alice Brown, at her home in Burnsville earlier that same day. Records indicate that Kristen Brown had recently notified parents that the daycare would be closing due to "relationship issues with Nathan." While six other children were present during the attack, none were physically harmed. Police are currently investigating the motive for the killings, noting that there was no prior history of police calls to the family home.
