Itamar Ben-Gvir advocates for nightly targeted assassinations in Gaza and mass Palestinian emigration

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly advocated for the targeted assassination of 30 to 40 people in Gaza every night. Speaking on a podcast with former hostage Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir criticized the recent reduction in the intensity of Israeli military strikes. He argued that many residents in the Gaza Strip are 'not worthy of life' and should be eliminated, while those he identified as terrorists should be killed one by one without the option of emigration. Ben-Gvir also proposed a plan for mass Palestinian emigration from the territory, suggesting that Israel establish settlements throughout Gaza, including the former Gush Katif bloc. While his hardline stance has drawn international criticism, he has become an influential figure within the government. His comments come as the military continues to target Hamas militants, with the administration of President Trump seeking to advance a broader ceasefire plan. The minister also highlighted the improved, more rigorous conditions for security prisoners, noting that the current 'miserable' state of the prisoners provides a necessary correction for the pain caused by the Hamas offensive.
