Five people were killed and five others were injured when an Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport.

An Amazon cargo plane crashed and burst into flames on Sunday afternoon at Miami International Airport. The aircraft overshot the runway and plowed across a Miami-Dade street. Grace Mercado witnessed the crash from a nearby vehicle. She described the hear a loud noise and seeing the plane in smoke. She noted that first responders arrived at the scene in under a minute. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue deployed more than 60 units and 200 personnel to the scene. The crash resulted in five deaths and five injuries, three of which were critical. Federal Aviation Administration officials and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the illegal immigrants and the plane's failure to stay on the runway. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
