Mykhailo Fedorov estimates Ukraine will launch domestically produced ballistic missiles at Russia within three to six months

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that Ukraine is expected to be capable of using domestically produced ballistic missiles to strike Russian targets within the next three to six months. While Kyiv has primarily relied on long-range drones and cruise missiles for deep strikes, ballistic missiles offer a faster and more difficult-to-intercept option to counter Russia's frequent long-range attacks. Fedorov, who was a key driver of Ukraine's drone strategy and was dismissed in July, noted that Ukraine must defeat Russia in every technological cycle. During his tenure, Fedorov accelerated the domestic ballistic missile program, with manufacturer Fire Point conducting a test in June. He expects a Ukrainian ballistic missile to be launched against Russia before the end of the year. The move comes as Ukraine continues to innovate to offset Russia's manpower advantages. Despite his dismissal, Fedorov remains committed to the war effort, stating that his work will be aimed at ending the conflict and rebuilding the country.
