Edgar 'N' and David 'N' are arrested for allegedly charging students to take the UNAM entrance exam in their place.

The General Public Prosecutor's Office of the City of Mexico arrested Edgar 'N' and David 'N' for their probable participation in a fraud scheme involving the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) entrance exams. The two men allegedly charged aspiring students to take the online tests on their behalf from the 'More Preparation' academy between May and June 2026. While the suspects answered the questions remotely, the students simulated as if they were responding personally. Investigations began after UNAM reported irregularities and matching connection data for nine applicants. Detectives identified the suspects and obtained arrest warrants, leading to the detention of Edgar 'N' and David 'N' on August 25. Authorities also conducted four searches and secured storage devices to determine the scope of the scheme. The Technical Commission for Reviewing the Admission Process of UNAM recommended an on-site exam for the next academic cycle to verify results. The investigation remains open to identify other accomplices and determine if the mechanism was used in previous admission processes.
