Josh Shapiro and Ron DeSantis Join Bipartisan Push to Limit Flock Safety Surveillance Cameras
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are leading a bipartisan movement to restrict the use of Flock Safety automated license plate readers. While Shapiro expressed support for a statewide ban, DeSantis announced plans to revoke permits for these cameras on state highways to prevent the creation of a surveillance state. The backlash against the technology is growing across the political spectrum.
