Haisco Pharmaceutical Group signs $1.5 billion deal with Population Health Partners and ARCH Venture Partners to form Sentivera.
Haisco Pharmaceutical Group has entered into a new agreement worth approximately $1.5 billion with Population Health Partners and ARCH Venture Partners to establish a new company called Sentivera. The deal provides Haisco Pharmaceutical Group with $75.9 million in upfront and equity payments, with the potential for an additional $1.46 billion in milestones and royalties based on the success of the drug's launch. Sentivera will hold the global development rights for a core immunology asset from Haisco Pharmaceutical Group outside of China, while Haisco Pharmaceutical Group will maintain development in China. The asset targets type 2 inflammatory diseases, such as asthma and eczema, which are currently dominated by major pharmaceutical companies. The drug candidate has already achieved investigational new drug status in China and has shown a'favorable safety profile in preclinical testing. This agreement follows a series of successful collaborations for Haisco Pharmaceutical Group, including recent deals with Eli Lilly, Nuvectis, and AbbVie.
