Hamza Iqbal, Rehan Khan, Judex Atshatshi, and Saif Ali plead guilty to arson attack on Jewish community ambulances in London.

Four young British men, including Hamza Iqbal, Rehan Khan, Judex Atshatshi, and Saif Ali, pleaded guilty on Friday to charges of destroying property and being reckless regarding potential life endangerment. The four men were involved in an arson attack on March 23 that destroyed four ambulances belonging to Hatzalah, a Jewish volunteer-led charity. The attack, which occurred in the north London area of Golders Green, cost the charity approximately £1 million ($1.36 million) in damages. Prosecutor Leo Seelig suggested the incident had a terrorist connection, with the Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right claiming responsibility for the attack. While counterterrorism police investigated potential Iranian proxies, the Iranian Embassy in the U.K. categorically rejected any involvement in the violent activities. A fifth defendant, Subhan Ahmed, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assisting an offender and will stand trial in January 2027. Sentencing for the four guilty defendants will take place in the spring of 2027.
