Syed Kazmi faces lawsuit over unpaid fuel for Freedom Fuel Network gas stations praised by President Trump

Syed Kazmi and his company, KRSM, are facing a federal lawsuit from Mansfield Oil of Gainesville for failing to pay approximately $4 million for over 1.1 million gallons of fuel. The suit alleges that KRSM obtained the fuel between May and July but never paid the invoice, allowing the company to sell the gas at discounted prices of $3.47 a gallon at Freedom Fuel Network stations. President Trump praised the network for its low prices, noting that the move demonstrated American consumers would soon see record low prices at the pump. While the administration announced that it had no direct contact or dealings with the defendants, the lawsuit highlights a potential discrepancy in how the discounted fuel was sold. A judge has already granted a preliminary injunction requiring KRSM to maintain a2.75 million bank account balance. KRSM's legal representative, Mauro Tucci, described the matter as an accounting dispute over mis-priced invoices.
