Frito-Lay Employee Paris Carlock Killed by Bullet Piercing Sam’s Club Wall During Nearby Argument

A 55-year-old Frito-Lay employee, Paris Carlock, was killed early Sunday morning after a bullet pierced the metal wall of a Nashville Sam’s Club. Paris Carlock was conducting product inventory in the chip aisle when the bullet struck him in the head. Metro Nashville police reported that the gunfire was connected to an argument that began inside the nearby Lavo Lounge. Security removed the individuals involved in the dispute from the lounge, and the argument continued outside as multiple vehicles were leaving the area. Store staff rushed to help Paris Carlock, who was then transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. PepsiCo, the parent company of Frito-Lay, and Sam’s Club issued statements expressing their condolences to the family. The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. Police have not yet announced any arrests or identified the shooter.
