Shanghai Ravioli Corporation Recalls 24,900 Pounds of Frozen Buffalo Chicken Products Lacking Federal Inspection

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Shanghai Ravioli Corporation is recalling approximately 24,900 pounds of frozen, not-ready-to-eat Buffalo chicken products. The recall was initiated because the products were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, a fact discovered during routine surveillance activities. The affected items, which include "BUFFALO CHICKEN RANGOON" and "BENEDETTO’S BUFFALO CHICKEN MOZZARELLA STICK," were produced between July 8, 2025, and June 29, 2026. These products bear a false mark of inspection using establishment number "EST. 18004," which does not have a federal grant of inspection. The FSIS classified this as a Class I recall, indicating a reasonable probability that use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death. While no confirmed illnesses or injuries have been reported, the agency warned that uninspected food may contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants. The recalled products were shipped to foodservice locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
