Duality Biologics enters global collaboration with Genentech to develop next-generation antibody-drug conjugates for oncology.
Duality Biologics announced a global collaboration and license agreement with Genentech to develop next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) targeting multiple oncology indications. The partnership utilizes Duality Biologics' proprietary Duality Unique Payload Antibody Conjugate (DUPAC) platform, which is designed to overcome payload resistance issues in tumors that are currently resistant or refractory to approved ADCs. Under the terms of the agreement, Duality Biologics will receive a45 million upfront payment and is eligible for milestone payments totaling over $1 billion, plus tiered royalties on annual net sales. Duality Biologics will lead drug discovery and early-stage global clinical development, while Genentech will obtain an exclusive worldwide license for ADCs generated from the collaboration and assume responsibility for further clinical development and commercialization after Phase 1a. The board of directors believes this collaboration will combine Duality Biologics' payload innovation with Genentech's oncology expertise to bring differentiated medicines to more patients worldwide. The agreement was formally signed on August 27, 2026.
