The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports Russia has lost over 1.4 million personnel during the full-scale invasion.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces have suffered approximately 1,496,440 personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. This total includes 1,390 casualties suffered by Russian forces over the past day. Ukraine's military has also accounted for the destruction of significant Russian equipment. Reports indicate that Russian forces have lost over 12,000 tanks, 25,000 armored combat vehicles, 49,000 artillery systems, and 2,000 multiple launch rocket systems. Additionally, Ukraine has destroyed over 500,000 aerial drones and 35 warships and boats. While Ukraine has not disclosed its own total losses due to operational secrecy, independent reports suggest Russian casualties significantly exceed Ukraine's losses. The intensity of drone attacks and heavy fighting has made it difficult for Ukrainian forces to retrieve fallen soldiers for DNA confirmation.
