Two Bulgarian nationals were arrested following an arson attack on a construction site near defense companies in Munich.

Two Bulgarian nationals, a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, were arrested after an arson attack on a construction site in Munich. The incident occurred around midnight on Thursday, when several incendiary devices were thrown from a moving car at the site. The construction site is located near the headquarters of Rohde & Schwarz and Helsing, two companies involved in defense and security technology. Police officers extinguished a small fire caused by one of the devices, while specialists defused another. No significant damage was reported, and the company premises themselves were not affected. The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office suspects the attack may have a political motive and is investigating whether it was a targeted strike on the nearby defense contractors. This incident follows a series of suspected sabotage acts in Germany, including recent attacks on power infrastructure. The Bavarian Interior Minister, Joachim Herrmann, noted that the arson attack highlights an increased risk of security threats targeting companies active in the defense and security sectors.
