Margarita Guerra donates one month's salary to support earthquake victims in Colombia.

Margarita Guerra, the governor of Magdalena, has pledged to donate her monthly salary to the 'Colombia, a single heart' campaign. The initiative, led by First Lady Ana Lucía Pineda, aims to support families impacted by the earthquake that occurred on Monday, August 10th. In the capital city of Bogotá, four official collection points remain active to gather aid for victims in Chocó, the Valley of Cauca, and the Coffee Zone. The District has collected 344 tons of food and hygiene products as of August 13th, with a goal of reaching 500 tons by Friday. The City Council is also seeking volunteers to assist with the organization of these efforts. First Lady Carolina Deik recommended that volunteers focus on the Red Cross, the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano, and the Palace of Sports, as El Campín already has a high number of volunteers. Donated medications must be complete and in their original packaging with a valid registration.
