The administration announced a comprehensive reorganization of Colombia's Public Media System, shifting the focus toward culture, art, and education. Minister of Technology Alexandra Falla and Inravision Director Angela Mora met on August 15 to define an immediate action plan to redefine priorities for the entity. The new strategy aims to create a plural, independent, and transparent system where public information is not subordinate to specific political interests. Key changes include the closure of a long-running informative and opinion space to redistribute human and technical resources more effectively. The administration also initiated a review of contracts signed during 2026, specifically targeting agreements worth over $100,000 and those signed between August 6 and 7. Control agencies, including the General Prosecutor and the Controller General of the Republic, will accompany the process to ensure accountability. While the reorganization progresses, Inravision will maintain special programming to inform communities affected by the August 10 earthquake.
