Maria Nohemi Arboleda and the National Government maintain gasoline and ACPM prices for September to support earthquake victims.

The National Government announced that gasoline and ACPM prices will remain unchanged throughout the month of September. This measure, which began on August 29, was jointly decided by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Mines and Energy to alleviate economic pressure on households. Maria Nohemi Arboleda, the Minister of Mines and Energy, stated that the decision was made specifically to support families affected by the August 10 earthquake. By stabilizing fuel prices, the government aims to prevent increased transportation costs for food, medicine, and other essential goods. This stability also facilitates the movement of the rescue and humanitarian aid equipment to the areas most impacted by the quake. The government estimates that maintaining these stable prices will result in a national saving of $152,600 million of pesos by the end of 2026. Authorities will conduct controls to ensure that service stations across the country comply with the set reference prices.
