Journalist H茅ctor de Maule贸n reported an unauthorized attempt to hack his X profile on Tuesday morning. The journalist received at least seven notifications requesting a password reset starting at 07:00 hours. This security incident occurred one day after H茅ctor de Maule贸n published an article detailing a private meeting held on August 24 at a restaurant in the Condesa neighborhood. The meeting included Andr茅s L贸pez Beltr谩n, Gonzalo L贸pez Beltr谩n, Daniel Asaf, Juan Domingo Beckmann, and Mauricio Gardu帽o. Other Mexican journalists, including Chumel Torres, Jorge Ramos, and Karla Iberia S谩nchez, also reported similar hacking attempts on their accounts. The platform X has not yet released an official statement to clarify if the incidents were caused by an internal failure or by specific users.
