Ruby reported that at least 15 to 20 people have been detained since the protections ended, though these individuals were not accused of crimes. While the federal government offered a $2,600 self-deportation incentive, Ruby observed that few residents have taken the option. Local law enforcement agencies in the area are not directly participating in the federal enforcement activities.
