Jalisco authorities rescue eight men from a clandestine CJNG hospital and arrest six suspects

Jalisco authorities dismantled a clandestine hospital operated by the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) in the municipality of Tecalitlan. The operation, conducted by the Jalisco State Attorney's Office in coordination with the National Guard and the Mexican Army, rescued eight men between the ages of 16 and 43 who were held against their will. These captives were from various states, including Mexico City, Guerrero, Michoacan, and Sinaloa. The search for the captives began after a 20-year-old man disappeared from Tlaquepaque on July 21st following a false job offer. Security forces located the property, which served as a medical center for injured members of the criminal group and captives. During the operation, authorities arrested six suspects suspected of human trafficking and disappearance. They confiscated medications, mobility assistance devices, orthopedic boots, and 100 high-caliber cartridges. Salvador Gonzales de los Santos, the Jalisco Attorney General, stated that the property was used for physical rehabilitation and medical attention for captives. The investigation is now being handled by the Vicefiscalía de Personas Desaparecidas and the Instituto Jalisciense de Ciencias Forenses.
