Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will relocate to the United Kingdom from California this month.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced their return to the United Kingdom from their California home in Montecito. The couple will reside in a private, non-royal residence outside of London, while maintaining their property in California and their vacation home in Portugal. Although they will not resume roles as working royals, the move is intended to help Prince Harry rebuild links with his family, particularly his father, King Charles III, who is currently being treated for cancer. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already enrolled their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in British schools starting this September. The move follows a period of six years in the U.S., during which the couple faced significant media scrutiny and a rift with the royal family. While the Harry and Meghan Markle move is a surprise to some, it is expected to be a primary focus for the U.K. press. The couple will continue to manage their various business ventures and charities from their new U.K. base.
