A helicopter crash in Samburu county, Kenya, has resulted in the deaths of a pilot and six tourists. The accident occurred at approximately 09:13 local time at Mount Ololokwe during a scenic flight from a wildlife conservancy in Loisaba to the Ewaso Nyiro river. Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) officials confirmed the nationalities of the passengers were not yet confirmed. The Kenya Red Cross reported that the area is currently inaccessible, and drones are being used to sent to assess the scene. The transport ministry and the Air Accident Investigation Department are leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Kenya is a frequent site for helicopter crashes, with several notable incidents occurring in 2021, 2024, and early 2024.
