Higinio Martínez Miranda is elected as president of the Senate's presiding committee for the LXVI Legislature.

Higinio Martínez Miranda was elected as president of the Senate's presiding committee for the third year of the LXVI Legislature. The Chamber of Deputies chose the senator from the Morena party with 116 votes in favor out of 117 legislators present. During the election, Higinio Martínez Miranda promised to conduct the works of the Chamber with impartiality, objectivity, and absolute respect for the voices of the 128 members. He pledged to guarantee freedom of expression for all legislators, provided they follow the law and regulations. The presiding committee also included vice-presidents Verónica Noemí Camino Farjat, Mauricio Vila Dosal, and Jorge Carlos Ramírez Marín. Several secretaries were designated to fill the roles, including María Martina Kantún Can, Alejandra Berenice Arias Trevilla, and Simey Olvera Bautista. The session began on September 1st, marking the start of the first session period of the new legislative year.
