Aivres Systems Inc. leverages rebranding and global subsidiaries to bypass U.S. export controls on advanced Nvidia AI chips

Aivres Systems Inc. continues to operate as a Silicon Valley subsidiary of the blacklisted Chinese tech giant Inspur Group, successfully navigating U.S. export restrictions. Although Inspur Group was placed on the Entity List in 2023 due to national security concerns, Aivres Systems Inc. was not individually listed, allowing it to continue purchasing and reselling advanced Nvidia and AMD chips. In November 2025, Aivres Systems Inc. sold 32 server racks containing approximately 2,300 Nvidia GB200 processors to the Indonesian telecom operator Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison for roughly $100 million. This transaction illustrates a broader pattern where Chinese firms access high-end AI capacity remotely through overseas data centers. For example, a Singapore-based firm called Megaspeed moved nearly $2 billion worth of restricted Nvidia chips through a Malaysian subsidiary, Speedmatrix Sdn Bhd, to serve customers in China remotely. The administration announced that it has been broadening rules to address these gaps, as the current framework focuses on named entities rather than the practical result of remote compute. While Aivres Systems Inc. remains active in Fremont, California, it continues to provide a notable market advantage by offering AI server platforms at prices roughly 30% below Western competitors.
