Customers who received prescriptions from a Kroger pharmacy between December 2018 and August 2026 may be eligible for a portion of a $17-million class-action settlement. The lawsuit alleges that Kroger overcharged insured customers for specific generic prescriptions because the company failed to factor in lower prices offered by its Kroger Savings Club. This discrepancy allegedly left many insured customers paying higher out-of-pocket costs than necessary. Kroger has agreed to the settlement but does not admit any wrongdoing. The company maintains that it never overcharged customers, arguing that the discounted prices were only intended for those who paid for a savings club membership. Eligible customers can file their claims until December 22, 2023, to receive a prorated payment. The settlement is currently awaiting final court approval.
