Hurricane Lowell is moving toward the Hawaiian Islands, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain, and significant surf. The National Weather Service warned that the heavy rain and high winds could lead to flash flooding and mudslides, particularly in steep terrain. The storm is expected to weaken gradually as it passes the islands.
