Jonathan Stott and Michael Hanna Join Weil, Gotshal & Manges as Partners in San Francisco
International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that Jonathan Stott and Michael Hanna have joined the firm as partners in its U.S. Private Equity Group in San Francisco. This addition strengthens the firm's private equity platform in California, which now includes approximately 20 partners focused on private equity clients. Jonathan Stott joins the firm from Dechert LLP, where he served as Managing Partner of the San Francisco office and led the West Coast Private Equity practice. He advises private equity sponsors, alternative asset managers, and operating companies on mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, growth investments, joint ventures, and other transformative transactions across industries such as technology, healthcare, and aerospace. Michael Hanna joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he served as a partner in the Private Equity practice. He advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on leveraged acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and corporate governance. The firm's U.S. Private Equity Group has doubled in size during the tenure of Chairman Michael J. Aiello.
