Kasra Aarabi and Jason Brodsky highlight how the U.S. Treasury Department's 'Operation Economic Outcast' is tightening the economic noose on the Iranian regime.

The U.S. Treasury Department has launched 'Operation Economic Outcast,' an aggressive economic strategy initiated under the direction of President Trump to block revenue sources for the Iranian regime and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced the new sanctions, which include secondary sanctions to pressure nations into severing ties with Tehran and blacklisting nearly 60 entities involved in illicit trade. Kasra Aarabi, the director of IRGC Research at United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), stated that the regime is currently facing a simmering anger that could reach a boiling point, particularly because the regime fears protests occurring with U.S. military air cover. Aarabi noted that the U.S.-imposed blockade is already affecting oil exports and the regime's ability to fund its military. Jason Brodsky, the policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), described the operation as a synchronization of economic and military power. He emphasized that by depriving the Iranian regime of resources, the U.S. can limit the funding of terror proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas, which serves the U.S. national security interest.
